Nestlé Angola is currently looking for a Supply Chain Controller who will support support the Country Supply Chain Manager in a day-to-day basis. Provide visibility to costs related to the Supply Chain processes by driving relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget/forecasts/targets and controlling variances), ensuring adherence to financial and legal requirements as well as Nestlé Accounting Standards.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement – Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in Supply Chain; seek for and support cost improvement opportunities, validate and review proposed savings as well as participate in supply network optimization studies. Facilitate meaningful dialogue around Logistics Trade Terms and cost-to-serve trade-offs.
  • Reporting and Analytics – Coordinate reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close) and forecasts across Supply Chain; ensure transparency of the process; follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps ensuring that financial policies, accounting standards and costing standards are followed.
  • Business Planning – Prepare and coordinate the Supply Chain budget. Perform revisions or simulations if needed with focus on risks and opportunities for the function. Ensure full transparency of strategic Supply Chain decisions on the organization (financial & non-financial)
  • Risks and Opportunities– Review the potential risks on stock and propose and do a plan to mitigate the risks. Validate and follow up the savings of Supply Chain. Support Supply chain in the new projects for the stream and calculated and validate the financial impact.
  • Compliance & Integrity – Ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development, implementation and of internal controls. The role is responsible for coordinating the tracking and resolution of all SoD conflicts within Supply Chain as well as serves as the key contact for internal and external audits within the Supply Chain area.
  • Performance Management – Organize internal and external benchmarking of Supply Chain performance, monitor Trade Net Working Capital and components, Distribution Costs and Bad Goods. Analyze reasons for deviations and track corrective actions; evaluate and provide financial analysis for product sourcing changes.

 

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL?

  • Formal financial qualification of appropriate level (degree or similar)
  • Prior experience in Accounting / Finance function (e.g.: Costing, Factory controlling, Accounts payable) ideally within a factory or supply chain.
  • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience
  • Proficiency in English and language of the market (where applicable)
  • Experience in a network organization with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Have required documentation to work in Angola.
  • Proactive and good analytical skills
  • Must be a chartered accountant.
