POSITION SUMMARY

Nestlé Angola is currently looking for a Junior Demand & Supply Planner who will develop, maintain and improve a Demand Plan for a portfolio of products and customers. Ensure the alignment of this Demand Plan with internal and external partners through the Monthly Business Planning and Collaborative Planning processes. Identify and manage exceptions and monitor performance to continually improve the quality and reliability of the Demand Plan and the Company’s ability to sense and respond to changing circumstances.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collate Information and Assumptions:                                                    
  • Collect information and assumptions about events, activities in relation to promotions, product launches, customer/distribution changes that form important part of demand plan”
  • Manage Portfolio Lifecycle:                                              
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to manage portfolio lifecycle, such as new product launches, packaging changes, phase-in/phase-out, and product discontinuation. Ensure that demand is appropriately forecasted and maintained in all circumstances
  • Generate and Maintain the Forecast:                                                       
  • Demand planner has sufficient knowledge to be able to generate and maintain statistical forecasts in SAS Forecast Studio, supported by Demand Analyst. APO DP remains a statistical forecast tool unless SAS is not yet deployed to cover the portfolio. Combining incremental, impactors, Demand Planner finalizes the total volume forecast”
  • Drive consensus through Monthly Business Planning processes:                                                 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive effective MBP processes to reach consensus demand plan. This becomes a primary input to the Dynamic Forecast”

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL?
  • One to two years of relevant operational experience at market
  • Business level, in at least one of the following areas:
  • Sales, Key Account Management
  • Category Channel Sales Development
  • Customer Service
  • Supply Planning
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Finance: Business Planning / Dynamic Forecasting
  • Supply Chain Development
  • Have required documentation to work in Angola.
  • FMCG experience is a plus.
  • Must be analytical and proactive.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese mandatory (both written & unwritten)
